Rajeev Gandhi Navodaya vidyalaya Shikarpur ,Haridwar ( fully residential setup)  is  unique, educational institute in our state Uttarakhand, imparting value based education to the students mainly  from rural background. This system has been focusing on overall development of the students since its establishment in 2003. It helps the students to groom the qualities like politeness, helpfulness , thoughtfulness  and self dependence in all sphere of life. Its foundation stone was laid by Mr. N.D Tiwari well known political figure and former chief minister of uttarakhand   on 3 sep 2003.It was established   with very humble start and   very limited infrastructure but now it has very vast campus along with academic block, staff residence , playground, multipurpose hall, equipped labs( physics, chemistry, biology and computer science )   and modern hostel facilities which is expanded in 95 bighas ( approx).

Our institute Rajeev Gandhi Navodaya vidyalaya Shikarpur ,Haridwar is financed by Education department of Uttarakhand, and it is run under the guidance of DG Education uttarakhand . This institution is   affiliated with CBSE New Delhi.

SITUTION .  This institution is situated 10 km far from Roorkee city in peaceful ,and lush green  area nearby Landhaura Town It is adjacent to Anchal milk plant and Shikarpur village.  

ADMISSION POLICY  . Admission in this  institution is made at the level VI by state level entrance  test in different centre and conducted by State education board Ramnagar (Nainital ) .
